New Credit Score Tracking System
Experian has recently announced that it is teaming up with Discover Financial Services to provide what they are calling Credit Score Tracker. This is a comprehensive tracking product for credit scores and is being offered to over 50 million current card members.
Credit Score Tracker can assist Discover card holders to understand what issues affect their credit scores. Those using the system can easily monitor any changes to their score and can even set up a program that will show them how to improve their score. The system is available either online or through the mail.
“Credit Score Tracker is a powerful product for Discover Card members to set their target credit score while understanding how their financial decisions affect their credit score over time,” said Ty Taylor, president of Experian Consumer Direct. “Experian Consumer Direct is proud to work with Discover Financial Services to provide this valuable resource to its customers and continue our efforts to educate consumers about credit and help in their overall financial success.”
Most consumers already understand how important their credit score is to their current and future credit needs. Credit scores are used by many lenders to determine the interest rate that a borrower will be offered. It only makes sense for consumers to want the best score that they are entitled to in order to get the best deals in the future.
Those taking part in the Credit Score Tracker program (Discover Card holders only at this time) can monitor their credit report and the factors that will be used to determine their credit score. They can then make changes to help improve their scores as well as get a better understanding of how credit reports and scores work.
Discover Card members can enroll in Credit Score Tracker by visiting www.discovercard.com/creditscoretracker , or by calling 1-888-201-1440.
